Guacamole is the essential easy and inexpensive recipe for an original aperitif. Watch:

- 1 tomato
- 1 onion
- 1/2 clove of garlic
- 1 teaspoon of Tabasco
- 1 lime
- Salt
Preparation:15 mins
1. I peel then chop the onion and the garlic as finely as possible.
2. I immerse the tomato in boiling water for 1 min to be able to peel it easily then I cut it into cubes.
3. I cut the avocados in 2, pit them and remove their skin. I keep the flesh and sprinkle it with lime juice.
4. I mash the flesh of the avocado with the lemon juice in a bowl.
5. I add the rest of the ingredients and continue to mash the mixture with a fork.
6. Once it is homogeneous, I salt and add a few drops of Tabasco to spice it up.
There you go, your guacamole is already ready :-)

The secret of a good guacamole lies simply in the choice of avocados which must be very ripe.

There's a simple little trick if you make your guacamole ahead of time and don't want it to darken.
Place the pit of your avocado in your preparation! Your guacamole will keep its beautiful color.
To avoid buying a tomato when it's not in season, you can replace it with a canned peeled tomato.

- 1 onion:around 100 g at €1.85 per kilo, i.e. €0.19
- 1 clove of garlic:about 10 g at €6.95 per kilo, i.e. €0.07
- 5 g of Tabasco:€37.41 per kilo, i.e. €0.19
- 1 lime:around 100 g at €3.95 per kilo, i.e. €0.40
A simple and economical recipe costing me €0.52 for one person or €3.15 for 6 people.
