I crave strawberries… don't you?
Also, I rush to do some shopping at my greengrocer to concoct a fruity and colorful tartare of the tastiest...
What could be more refreshing than snacking on a few strawberries at this time?
In tartare with a hint of basil, they are all the more delicious!
Here is an economical recipe of the simplest to make. Let's eat!
- 300g strawberries
- ½ bunch of basil
- 3 tablespoons of powdered sugar
- 1 lime
1. Wash the strawberries and basil in clear water. Be careful, do not hull the strawberries before rinsing them, otherwise they will become waterlogged!
2. Then cut the strawberries into small dice and finely chop the basil leaves (keep a few whole for my final decoration)
3 . In a salad bowl, mix the diced strawberries and the chopped basil with a squeeze of lemon and the powdered sugar.
4. Leave to marinate for 1 hour in the fridge.
5. Arrange, when the time comes, the tartare on the plates, forming a nice round shape. Add a basil leaf on top and voila!
You can also serve the tartare in verrines, firmly packing the strawberries.
There you go, you have made your strawberry tartare, a light, fresh and economical dessert :-)
Success guaranteed!
- 500 g of strawberries:€5.98 per kilo, i.e. €2.99
- 20 g of basil:€65 per kilo, i.e. €1.30
That is an expense of 1.07 for 1 person or €4.29 per guest.
