Looking for an easy and inexpensive recipe to wow your guests? Think of the naans, they will be a hit.
Naans, small Indian pancakes perfect for an aperitif or as a main course, are one of my favorite dishes . Make some and you'll see why.
- 300 grams of flour
- 1 egg
- 1 plain yogurt
- 1 tablespoon of oil
- 1/2 sachet of baking powder
- 1 pinch of salt
- 12 portions of Laughing Cow
- 50 grams of melted butter
1. In a bowl, I mix the flour, egg, yeast, salt and yogurt.
Yes, I know that's a lot, but since I'm telling you it's going to be delicious...
2. When all the ingredients are well mixed, I add a little warm water to obtain a very soft dough.
3. I separate the dough into 6 pieces (for each guest).
4. I cover a work surface with flour.
5. I spread each piece in the shape of a fairly thin circle.
6. I place 2 Laughing Cow on one side of the circle.
7. I close the dough, over which I pass the rolling pin to spread it well.
8. I heat a frying pan with a drizzle of oil.
9. I put the naans in it and heat it for 5 minutes on each side.
10. I brush with butter and I serve.
There you go, your naans are ready to eat :-) Bon appetit!
Have you ever tried this economical recipe? What do you think? Let's talk about it in the comments.
As I said above, this recipe is a real good way to please guests on the cheap.
Let's do a quick calculation together:€1.50 for a good packet of flour + 15 cents for the egg + 40 cents for a pot of yoghurt + €1 for the yeast + €2.50 for 12 Laughing Cows =5, 55€.
€5.55 to treat 6 people, it's worth it, right?
