This delicious no knead bread is super easy to make. It does have to rise for a long time, but other than that you hardly have any work.
You need this
- 234 g wheat flour
- 234 g wholemeal flour
- 2 g yeast
- 364 g of water
- 8 g salt.
Additional requirements:tea towel, colander, oven-safe casserole or glass bowl with lid. You get the best result with a cast iron pan that contains 'Dutch Oven ' is called. Like this
This is how you make it
- Put the ingredients in a large bowl and stir well.
- Cover and let stand for at least 12 hours until the dough has risen well and has bubbles.
- Flour your hands and slide them under the dough in the bowl.
- Fold the bottom up so that you get a kind of ball (note, the dough is a bit sticky but that's okay).
- Put the tea towel in the colander and sprinkle generously with flour.
- Put the ball in it and make it a bit rounder with floured hands by folding the dough from the bottom inwards. Now let it stand for another 2 hours.
- Preheat the oven and the pan to 250°C. Place the dough in the hot pan, cover and bake for 30 minutes.
- Then remove the lid and bake for another 20 minutes.
